We suggest checking out the lists linked above and picking out whatever suits your interests. If you only have a bit of time in Belgrade and want to check out one of its landmarks, here are our top 3 picks.

Kalemegdan

Kalemegdan

The Belgrade Fortress forms the historical core of the Serbian capital and serves as a symbol of Belgrade's origins. Its history is characterized by numerous conflicts and conquests between the great powers of the Habsburg monarchy and the Ottoman Empire in the Ottoman Wars. Today, it is a huge park overlooking the confluence of the Sava and Danube, undoubtedly the city's most romantic spot.

Skadarlija

Skadarlija

Skadarlija is a vintage street and the main bohemian quarter of Belgrade. It's the place to go to eat delicious Serbian food and experience a traditional Serbian restaurant called "kafana", with traditional live music in the evenings. Opt for dinner with music or for a quieter lunch in one of the restaurants on the street (Tri šešira, Dva jelena, Mali vrabac, and more).

The Temple of Saint Sava
